Midwest Skateboarding Alliance (MSA) is a non-profit based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Formed in 2015 by lifelong skateboarder, Brenda Hoppe, MSA is dedicated to promoting recognition of skateboarding’s role within progressive urban and rural community planning, sustainable, active transportation networks, and a vibrant built environment that prioritizes public health. Currently, MSA is working with YouthLink MN to orchestrate the construction of a pocket park in downtown Minneapolis that would feature a skatepark, art installations, a rain garden, and meeting spaces, amongst other amenities, to be utilized by downtown youth and their neighbors.
